Why do YOU ride horses?

I ride because I jus love horses! And its really fun

Well, i don't HAVE a horse and my mom won't let me ride. We are a boring family...

Riding is my favorite thing.Anything to do with horses,im in lol.I guess that explains why I have 38 horses

If you don't ride then tell us why do you like horses? I think that even if you can't ride, horses are still special to us. So, why do YOU like horses?

I have none, but I've been riding for 5 years at a stable. I really really want horses. Its my dream

Uhh...I ike horses because they are cute and useful! But I HAVE went traveling and sat ona horse before. Thats the closest i ever came to horse riding.

Because horses are the most noble creatures around and the most willing. Their also a more comfy ride than a donkey! Has anyone ever done a Donkey Derby before? (The real old fashioned ones where you ride bare back and have to gallop until you fall off and the last one riding wins)

I live on a donkey farm and I personaly think that I donkey will not spook nearly as much as a horse, and is a smoother ride than a horse, just like a mule. I also drive my animals.

I would never be able to afford a horse of a donkey...

Wow ruthie! Im guessing your donkeys are all broken in to have saddle and bridle though? When I did derbys, they werent always broken in and you had to ride them no saddle at all. Only the smaller children were allowed jockey pads just for the stirrups. I think the derbys are banned now though because people were deliberately not breaking their donkeys to harness and still letting people ride them even though they couldnt even wear a headcollar

Sorry, i cannot give pictures my mom would flip, and also just type in mini donkeys on google image search and you can see champs and every thing!! Also, I don't ride with a harness with my donkey. Just bare bareback ad a lead rope and halter! He is trained though!

Bareback is the best way to ride. I used to do a few bareback jumping comps and it was really funny where most people used grooming spray all over their horses, i idn use to brush them properly until after the jumping as their coats are so shiny after grooming and especially spray, its impoosible to stay on if you get unbalanced
