The Basics of Text Language

Hi

I just wanted to post this to prevent people getting confused if someone use text language when theyre talking...

Text language is just words that have been shortened down with less letter. They are usually spelt how they sound...

Are - R
You - U
When - wen

They may also miss out letters...
Going - goin
Good - gd

They sometimes just miss off half the word...
Because - cos/cuz

Lol can mean Laugh out Loud, and Lots of Love, so be careful who you say it to! Laughing

I have only put a few examples, but I'm sure you'll be able to work out others with this.

Useful stuff! I found a website the other day with tons of words that could be condensed to chat speak! But I cant find it so heres some off the tp of my head!

tht- that
cud- could
shud- should
pm- private message
msg- message
ttyl- talk to you later
l8r- later
anything with '8' in it is basically mimicing the 'ate' sound
